To Daxton’s Friends – by Linda Perry

2015-02-09_14h46_51Thank you for sharing all these true stories. Indeed, so many lives will be saved; so many lives will be changed, so many babies, children, teens and adults will be saved by hearing these stories. These are the true stories that reach into people’s hearts and helps them make changes, and helps them make choices that make a difference in the lives of children all over. There is nothing like a true story. And that being said, keep on telling them; keep on sharing these true stories. This is what will change the laws and change people’s minds about their choices in adopting animals and about their choices to be around animals.

All over the nation, people are making better choices. And to the readers, I urge everyone who has children, when you are choosing animal companions for your children, when you are choosing animals, pets, dogs for your children, choose small, choose dogs that are truly meant to “be around children”. When making those choices in the future, please choose a pet that has no capability of doing the almost-irreversible damage to human tissue that pit bulls can and have done and will do to human beings. When making your choices, please, choose to ignore the myths of pit bulls with Santa hats, and ignore the myths of pit bulls in tutus, and ignore the myths that people still try to perpetrate on an unsuspecting and vulnerable public, ignore those myths that are perpetrated to make you forget the truth about the dangers of being around pit bulls, Rottweilers and Cane Corso dangerous dogs.

When making your choices for pets or when making your choices to dog-sit pets, please, put your children first, put human life first, and continue to avoid adopting, avoid buying, avoid rescuing pit bull dogs and pit bull type dogs. Please, I beg you, make good choices for your children. You protect your children, even from before their birth. You don’t smoke; you don’t drink because you “think” that babies are harmed by those things. Please continue with your common sense and protect your children and your families by not having these extremely dangerous dogs around your family members. And please don’t have these dangerous dogs on your property if you live near schools, playgrounds, pediatricians’ offices, around churches or temples, around doctor’s offices, or around after-school centers or around child-activity offices, or around tutors’ offices or tutors’ companies. Consider human life FIRST before you make any consideration for dogs that have been proven, time after time after time after time to be a danger to human lives and a danger to other animals’ lives. Consider your choices. And consider the lives of all humans within the vicinity of your property if you still choose to own or to reside with pit bulls or Cane Corsos or Rottweilers.

POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS DOG BREEDS

This is a list of dog breeds that have a history of being potentially dangerous to people, especially children. Daxton’s Friends for Canine Education and Awareness understands that any dog has the ability to bite or inflict serious harm to humans. This list consists of several dog breeds that have a higher than average number of recorded human fatalities. Please use extreme caution if you choose to bring one of these breeds into your home. Rental communities and homeowners insurance may restrict many of the dog breeds on this list due to the likelihood of a serious incident.
